WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients at SIAL 2012
Juice of all kinds
Paris, October 21, 2012 – At the SIAL 2012 trade fair, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients is presenting its extensive juice portfolio: concentrates and blends for beverages that feature different amounts of juice. In addition, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients will display products which create a distinctive mouthfeel and win consumers over with their excellent flavor.
The fruit-juice beverage sector in particular gives manufacturers potential for further growth. By acquiring Cargill's business unit for juice cold blends and compounds, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients has expanded its competence in this sector and ensured even better access to raw-material sources.
In an outstanding position
The business acquired from Cargill includes fruit-juice concentrates as well as customized juice blends, not-from-concentrate juices, fruit purées and compounds for beverages with high fruit content. Consequently, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients can continue to develop its existing competence in the juice segment and round out its portfolio in the best possible fashion. With its expanded expertise and newly obtained resources, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients can present a wide-ranging product portfolio for the global juice market.
A pleasant mouthfeel
At SIAL, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients is presenting a series of "mouthfeel" beverages, a popular favorite in African and Middle Eastern markets. The compounds for these products are based on vegetable-oil emulsions and have a low juice content ranging from 1% to a maximum of 5%. Adding vegetable-oil emulsions enhances the mouthfeel, creating an appealing taste and a smooth texture. WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients has several different fruity flavors to offer.
Mouthfeel beverages provide even greater added value when other fruit ingredients are integrated, such as fruit cells or chunks of fruits. Another option is a milk-based product: fruit-juice beverages featuring milk have a creamy, rich mouthfeel and give consumers a mild yet refreshing way to enjoy fruit. The juice content can be modified, depending on the customer preference and market demand.
At the trade-fair booth in Paris, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients’ experts look forward to offering manufacturers information about regional preferences and providing a look at different flavor options.
