In its portfolio for this year’s SIAL trade fair in Paris, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients is focusing on new raspberry flavors for the food sector. The flavor specialist has reinterpreted and enhanced the many nuances of the popular fruit by offering a variety of new flavor profiles. Fruit gums are one example that demonstrates how versatile raspberry can be. Another aspect of their portfolio is the wide selection of natural mint flavors for chewing gum. Last but not least, their products at the trade fair include best-selling flavors for baked goods.

Multi-facetted fruit
Raspberry is a major consumer favorite: it ranks at number four in fruit-flavored product launches within the confectionery sector, according to market research institute Innova. However, its versatility is often underestimated: raspberry is a fruit with many aspects that range from fruity-fresh to jam-like notes and from floral to a sweetish bonbon flavor. These taste nuances can be put to good use in many segments of the confectionery market. WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients has taken this versatile berry and is now presenting fruity raspberry flavors with numerous different profiles. The new portfolio not only perfectly matches the flavor preferences of different countries, it can also be integrated into a variety of applications for candies, chocolate or ice cream. At the trade fair, the Great Taste Expert will be presenting several flavor profiles for fruit gums.

Aromatic freshness
Mint has long since become an indispensable part of the confectionery sector, and it creates a pleasant fresh note in chocolate products, hard caramels and especially chewing gums. In Paris, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients will be sharing its wide-ranging portfolio of natural mint flavors for chewing gum. Manufacturers can select from many different varietals to expand their product palette. The portfolio features peppermint (Mentha x piperita L.), spearmint (Mentha x spicata L.), Scotch spearmint (Mentha x cardiaca L.), and WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients mint (Mentha arvensis). Thanks to custom-tailored concepts, the company can offer the ideal response to consumers’ many different flavor preferences.

Popular classics
In addition to its innovative strengths, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients will also be showcasing its extensive product range of well-established top flavors for confectionery products and baked goods. These popular options remain best-selling flavors and have earned themselves a solid place in the trade-fair portfolio alongside the new compositions. Among other things, the company will be presenting wafers with flavored milk-cream filling featuring vanilla, coconut and coffee flavors; cola, orange and pineapple fruit gums; and blends of cream and fruit for hard caramels, a combination that has been in demand for many years.
