WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients

Creative ideas for the juice market

WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients is presenting creative concepts and new ideas at Anuga that will allow manufacturers to set new trends in the juice market. With WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients’ global network, customers can have access to top quality raw materials that are fresh and full of flavor.

WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients’ concepts allow manufacturers to provide something more unique than what is currently on the juice shelf. WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients, as the Great Taste expert, will present products at Anuga that bear the sustainability seal, offer innovation through exotic fruits, attract attention utilizing nectars, and exhibit wellness in their featured functional variants.

Certified sustainable production

Fruit juice concentrates are a new addition to WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients’ portfolio, with the certified seal of the international environmental organization “Rainforest Alliance.” WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients works with this charitable non-governmental organization via its office in Amsterdam. The quality seal “Rainforest Alliance Certified” identifies products containing raw materials that meet the standards for sustainable agriculture. Currently, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients has orange, pineapple and banana products in its portfolio. Manufacturers can use this internationally recognized seal of quality as a clear benefit when communicating with consumers.

Exotic juices with a defined origin

At Anuga, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients is also presenting a variety of juices where a precise declaration of origin is necessary. The range covers blends from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the Amazon. The concepts combine popular classics, such as pineapple and orange, with exotic products of a specific region. Manufacturers can promote the provenance of the fruits on their labels.

The African version includes the marula fruit and pink guavas from South Africa. For the Asian blend, WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients combined Alphonso mangos from India, tamarinds, and coconut water to provide a harmonious taste profile. WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients’ portfolio also includes a Caribbean mix of red grapefruit from Cuba and pineapple from Costa Rica; as well as a tropical version with maracujas from Ecuador and acerola from Brazil.

Powerful colors for nectars

WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients also has innovative ideas for the nectar segment: the “Nectar Color Range” contains new developments with blue, dark blue/black and pink, which will attract consumer attention on the juice shelf. The colors reflect the flavor of the fruits contained in the beverages. As a result, the blue product option includes fruit juice concentrates from plums, blueberries and red grapes, whereas the dark versions are made of blackberry and blackcurrant concentrates. Raspberries, cherries and pomegranates are used as the foundation for the pink colored nectar flavor system.

Fruity and healthy

Functional components add value to the healthy image of juices. New additions to WILD Flavors and Specialty Ingredients’ portfolio are two functional, very juicy products made of direct juice (NFC). The “red multi-fruit” version consists of passion fruit, blackcurrant, red grapes and magnesium. The “yellow multi-fruit” option contains twelve different fruits as well as vitamins such as provitamin A, vitamin C and a vitamin B combination.
