Organic Ingredients, Colors, and Flavors
Organic has moved from a top trend in 2006 to a mega trend in 2008 with consumers wanting more control over their health, lifestyle, finance, and other critical issues. This is driving the organic category to branch off into other areas such as locally grown, recyclable packaging, and Fair Trade Certified. U.S. sales of organic food and beverages have grown from $1 billion in 1990 to an estimated $20 billion in 2007, and are projected to reach nearly $23.6 billion in 2008. (Organic Trade Association)
WILD is excited to announce that we’ve recently completed Organic Certification of our facilities in the United States and Canada through Quality Assurance International (QAI).
This certification allows WILD to solidify our position as the industry leader in organic concept development and formulation expertise. We began our organic journey in 2001, offering flavors, colors, and ingredient technologies that are compliant with the National Organic Program regulations for products that carry the USDA organic seal.
With the certification, WILD can handle certified bulk organic ingredients, and develop organic (95/5) flavors, colors, and ingredient technologies. We can create USDA organic seal-ready solutions that meet our customer’s high expectations for taste, quality, and performance. All of our organic compliant flavors and systems will now be produced in a certified facility.
