Trans-Fat Reduced Seasonings
A recent concern in the food industry is the link between trans-fatty acids and heart disease. Increase in consumer awareness has fueled the need for products with reduced trans-fat. In December, 2005 food regulations in the United States and Canada declared that companies must indicate trans-fat content on product labels. With market trends focusing on the health and wellness of foods and beverages, the pressure to reduce trans-fat contents is greater than ever.
WILD has reformulated existing seasoning blends and removed partially hydrogenated vegetable oils (which contribute to trans-fat content). WILD understands the demands placed on the industry to provide winning, healthy products will require the development of leading ingredient solutions for food product manufacturers. Examples of seasonings in which WILD has significantly reduced trans-fat levels include buffalo wing, cheddar seasoning, garlic parmesan, nacho cheese, creamy dill, and sour cream and onion. WILD recognizes the consumer demand for healthy snack alternatives as well as the manufacturers' need for ingredient solutions.
