Consumers are becoming increasingly health-conscious, and WILD recognizes the importance of and the demand for healthy ingredients. The H.I.T.S.® Team is comprised of chemists and application personnel who have sound understanding of functional ingredients and applications and was created to research and promote health ingredients. Many of WILD's H.I.T.S.® ingredients have "measurable health" benefits (meaning that the positive effects are clinically tested). The H.I.T.S.® Team continues to investigate the stability of functional ingredients in areas such as light stability, shelf life, and packaging. The solubility of many functional ingredients has previously limited their use within various foods and beverages, but WILD has created water-soluble versions for easier application and development.
WILD's water-soluble ingredients include: sterol esters, lutein and lycopene, and co-enzyme Q-10. Also included in WILD's new line of health ingredients are grape seed extract, theaflavins, omega-3 fatty acids, tea polyphenols and chlorogenic acid; all of which provide strong antioxidative effects. WILD's proprietary, patented blend of ingredients-MaxImmune™-is clinically shown to support immunity. Customers utilizing MaxImmune™ while developing a finished product have the ability to emphasize health benefits to consumers with clinically tested results.
A recent agreement with Cognis, a global supplier of natural, health-enhancing ingredients, enhances WILD's position as a leading innovative developer of functional foods and healthy beverages.
